I have run Windows file checks, and they have not fixed the issue. I have stress tested my RAM, CPU, and GPU. I have uninstalled and reinstalled my AMD GPU and chipset drivers, between older and the newest versions, with DDU, AMD cleanup utility, and with the Factory Reset option during installation.
#SONY VEGAS PRO 12 VERSION 12.0.770 UPDATE PC#
So again, from my observations, some trigger occurs that seems to slow the system down to a halt, requiring a PC reset. Once I notice that I can't select things with my cursor, I know that the issue has been triggered and there's no chance of recovering. This issue comes out of nowhere and occurs immediately. To me, it just seems that an event or system conflict occurs that grinds the system to a halt. Of course, the audio was heavily distorted due to being played at an extremely slow rate. Everything was fine until the system suddenly started to slow down, where cursor selections weren't doing anything, and then the system completely froze. It appears to me that whatever the issue was, it came and went, temporarily removing my audio in the process.ģ) Last weekend, I was video editing with Vegas Pro 16. I opened up Processor Explorer and Processor Monitor to not find anything suspicious happening. I left the PC like this for 30 minutes and came back to find that the system was responsive, but there was no sound anymore. I'm sure you've heard this before, where it sounds like you're playing the song at a snail's pace because the system is struggling to keep up (for whatever reason). The song opened up but the audio was heavily distorted where it's extremely lagging behind. I had to reset the PC to get back to typing this.Ģ) Earlier today, I was minding my own business with playing music, and when I started a new song manually, the issue triggered. The screen is still on but it's a still image, of course. At this point, the system is completely frozen. I clicked on Discord and the mouse disappeared. Chrome was unresponsive, so I switched over to Discord and that was completely frozen.

I was moving my mouse and I noticed that the selections below the cursor were lagging and not responding to clicks anymore. Essentially, I'll be using the system and occasionally the system will decide to suddenly slow down to a halt and remain unresponsive like that, requiring a PC reset.ġ) Just as I was typing this, it happened again.

This has been happening since mid-December, out of nowhere.
